Primary pupils enjoyed an active and rewarding week of activities focused on literature and reading.
It’s been a great way of discovering a new author, promoting the school library, and getting the kids fired up to do their own creative writing.
Teachers and Language Assistants across our school embarked on a variety of reading related activities that helped children to find out more about such writers as Theodor Seuss Geisel, P.L. Travers and Roald Dahl.
Apart from listening to and reading stories, pupils also designed their “Ideal Reading Corners” and illustrated “Books in Jars”.
We would like to thank all of the children for their enthusiasm and active participation – well done! And … Happy reading everyone!
