In Alborada school, we know how important it is to have a second language. And so we believe that learning English is very important, especially from a young age. That being said, we offer an immersive learning environment by including our English Assistants in our daily routine. They help teach the children in a natural and fun way using games and other activities suitable for the progressive levels from infants level all the way through to Bachillerato.
In our bilingual programme we offer different activities and complementary services, some of these include:
- English Assistants
Our English Assistants use active learning methods both in and out of the classroom, working with the students individually as well as in small groups to offer a more personalized lesson where the student is given the opportunity to interact more as well as receive more one on one attention from the teacher.
- Complementary English Lessons
We don’t only learn English in the English curriculum, we also have complementary lessons two or three times a week dedicated to the preparation of international English exams as well as different projects or activities, where the children get to practise the English language in a fun and more relaxed environment.
- Official Exams
We prepare our students for the official international English exams of levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 from Primary until Bachillerato.
- Poetry Competition
In order to provide even more immersion into the English language, the school organizes a Poetry Competition once a year where the poems are learnt in the classroom, the students then compete within the class to find the best two, who then go on to compete against the other classes of their age.
- After School Kids&Us
We also offer an after school activity with Kids&Us.
Our learning method is based on taking advantage of the natural capacity that young children have to learn a new language. Kids&Us grows with the children and at each stage the children are taught using the materials that correspond with their communicative needs until they master the use of the English language.
